Jeeyul Kang begins with her own encounters with loss and death, transforming these personal experiences into Auto-Fiction that can be shared with others. Through this act of reimaging, she seeks to grasp the nonlinear nature of reality that she faces. Her stories unfold through printmaking, drawing, video, and performance, moving beyond the act of merely seeing to embrace the senses of touch and sound. In doing so, she explores how a deeply personal narrative might extend outward, becoming a collective value.
강지율은 상실과 죽음이라는 개인적인 경험을 출발점으로, 이를 ‘자전적 허구’로 풀어내는 행위를 통해 개개인의 경험을 타인과 공유할 수 있는 이야기로 확장해 왔다. 그의 허구적 서사는 그가 마주한 현실의 비선형성을 포착하려는 시도이기도 하다. 이 이야기는 판화, 드로잉, 영상, 그리고 퍼포먼스 등의 다양한 매체로 펼쳐지며, 단순히 ‘보는‘ 행위에 국한되지 않고 ‘만지고 듣는‘ 감각의 중요성을 함께 다룬다. 이를 통해 개인의 서사가 어떻게 집단적인 가치로 확장될 수 있는지를 탐색한다.
